Featured Tribe Member: Gwen
Gwen has been a member of Live Well Fit since 2015. She has been blessed with 7 children, 6 grandchildren and a husband of 34 years.
When asking Gwen what brought her to Live Well Fit, she says, “My health and not being able to keep up with my grandchildren brought me.” Being a part of an all-women gym with team support and helpful instructors keeps Gwen coming back to Live Well Fit. “I did have fears at the beginning such as not being able to do the exercises and being embarrassed, but the LWF instructors encouraged me and always offered modifications so that I could move on my level as I got stronger.”
Gwen attends various different classes at Live Well Fit, but finds that the TRX classes are her favorite as they help her with balance and increase her strength. To keep her heart pumping and improve her cardiovascular fitness, Gwen says she loves both step and spin classes. Gwen has improved her strength, endurance and cardiovascular health while working out at Live Well Fit, but is especially proud that she is now able to do cycle/spin classes taught by LWF owner, Suzi McKee.
Gwen’s advice for new LWF members is, “You have to keep going to classes and push through when you feel discouraged and know that there is a whole Tribe of women to support you.” When not at Live Well Fit, Gwen enjoys cooking and entertaining, and reports that she has the gift of hospitality.
